About Holly Stone
Twin Cities artist Holly Stone enjoys creating many kinds of art - through the visual arts with paintings, cards, writing/illustrating childrens books, as well as music and performance art. She owns and operates "Art Down Under" in Hopkins, MN where she offers private and small group painting lessons, along with original artwork and cards for sale. A painting instructor for over 15 years, her background in Occupational Therapy provides an ability to adapt methods and approaches for students with all manners of abilities and challenges. When not teaching painting at one of the local art centers (Edina, Bloomington, Minnetonka, Lakeville) she may be seen performing as "Madame Zorka" doing intuitive readings with palms, cards, or handwriting. She occasionally takes her art to the human canvas, and does face painting or henna tattoos for parties and celebrations. Her current passion, "ART-eries", depicts many unique Minneapolis and St. Paul businesses and places of interest through a series of oil paintings. Another series of paintings underway - "CinemART" - illustrates/pays homage to favorite classic black and white films.
