A depiction of the Medicine Buddha from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition painted with flowers surrounding him as he sits on a moon disk over a lotus throne. The original is painted with acrylic paint and gold on canvas. This Buddha of healing gazes out at the viewer with a quiet smiling expression. He holds the myrobalan paint on one hand, symbolizing healing. In his other hand he holds the elixir of immortality. He is surrounded by a variety of Tibetan medicinal herbs and plants. This is a traditional image for healing physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of a person, but primarily healing the unhappiness caused by delusion. Image is matted (red) and framed (black) to size of 22 x 28
