I painted various overlapped scenes from this wonderful 1957 black and white film directed by Billy Wilder and written by Agatha Christie- Witness for the Prosecution. Starring Charles Laughton, Tyrone Power, Marlene Dietrich, it is a wonderful example of film noir.
Holly enjoys exploring a variety of painting media, including oils, acrylics, pen and ink, pastels and watercolor. She has encouraged and taught hundreds of students in styles spanning realism to Impressionism to abstract art. Her wide range of work includes ancient sacred traditions, realistic local landmarks, whimsical fairy tales, and detailed pen and ink with hidden imagery. Her recent 15 month stay in India, where she studied Thangka painting (sacred Tibetan scroll painting) brought together her love of Buddhism, Tibetan culture, and expression in the arts.
